About CAST Publications

CAST Publications is a repository of completed, peer-reviewed research reports on agricultural science and technology. This is not an open submission platform.

How CAST Creates Publications

CAST initiates research projects through a formal Task Force structure. Projects are approved by appropriate CAST Workgroups and led by expert chairs and contributing authors.

Submission Requirements:

  • Approved proposal by CAST Workgroup
  • Title and author information with institutional affiliations
  • Abstract (250-300 words)
  • Main document (PDF or Word format)
  • Author ORCID numbers (if available)
  • Specification of publication type (Issue Paper, Commentary, Special Publication, Task Force Report, SoAR Report, or Other)
  • Supplementary materials (if applicable)

Task Force Roles:

  • Chair: Leads coordination, develops outline, manages revisions, authors introduction/conclusions
  • Author: Contributes original content for assigned sections, reviews manuscript
  • Reviewer: Provides comprehensive feedback during review phase (2-week timeline)

All Task Force members receive CAST membership during tenure and complimentary published copies. Members may be invited to participate in webinars, podcasts, videos, and publication events.
